If you wish to arrange a Funeral at St Edward’s Church, please phone the Parish Office

on 3299 2000.  If there is no answer, please leave a message with your name and phone

number and Fr Paul will return your call as soon as possible.

For your information the basic format for a Requiem Mass is:

·       Entrance Hymn

·       Welcome and Opening Prayer – by Priest

·       First Reading

·       Responsorial Psalm

·       Gospel Reading – by Priest

·       Homily / Eulogy

·       Intercessionary Prayers

·       Liturgy of the Eucharist (including Communion)

·       Final Blessing and Farewell

·       Final Hymn

If you need to plan a Funeral Service, ie without Communion, it follows the same lines as a Requiem Mass but the Liturgy of the Eucharist is omitted.
