The Parish of St Edward the Confessor, Daisy Hill, has come a long way since its humble beginnings back in 1978. Many original Parishioners still celebrate Mass here, many have moved on, and many more ‘new’ parishioners enjoy the atmosphere, spirit and hospitality that has grown to be part of St Edward’s Daisy Hill.
It is through all the hard work, dedication and commitment of the Parishioners of St Edward’s over the years that we can now enjoy what we have today. We sincerely thank all past and present priests, staff and parishioners for your generosity, and we continually look forward to the future.
On behalf of St Edward’s Parish I offer you a very special welcome to our website. I’ve been Parish Priest here for 12 years and have always found it a welcoming, caring community. I would hope and pray that you would find it the same.

Confirmation/Eucharist Program
Please continue to pray for the young people involved in our Confirmation / Eucharist program as they prepare to celebrate the Sacraments on 11th/12th September.
Reconciliation is on Saturday, 4th September, at 4pm in the Church.
Baptism preparation
All families requesting
baptism are asked to
attend a Baptism
preparation gathering night after their interview
with Fr. Paul.
The next meeting date will be
2nd September at 7pm in the Church.
St Declan's Renovation
We’re beginning to look at what needs to be done with St Declan’s to make it
suitable for meetings, get-togethers, etc. If you’re interested in old buildings (St
Declans was built in the mid 1860’s), and have ideas on renovation, or would just
like to be involved please call us at the Parish Office on 3299 2000, or send us

Pakistan Floods - Caritas Australia’s Response -
Caritas Australia has launched the South Asia Floods Appeal Pakistan at http://www.caritas.org.au. And is responding through the international Caritas
network. The floods began in late July after heavy monsoon rain fell over the Indus River basin– the floods are the worst the country has seen in decades, killing more than 1,600 people and
affecting an estimated 14 million people – over half the population of Australia.The monsoon
season in Pakistan lasts until the first week of September.

"As One Voice” – National Christian Music Conference
24th / 26th September 2010 at Collaroy Conference Centre, Northern Beaches, Sydney. We have a couple of parishioners who are attending this Conference. If you‘d like to attend, please let us know, The Parish may be able to subsidise the costs. Further details are available on our noticeboard.
